
SYNOPSIS
Camden McCoy, a high school senior, struggles with losing his best friend and first love, Kayleigh Sullivan. In a feeble attempt to understand why she would take her life, both he and Kayleigh’s mother try to draw clues from her suicide email letter. Upon her frustrations, Ms. Sullivan enlists Camden’s help locating the key to her daughter’s locked wooden chest, which encompasses the entire collection of her private journals. When he remembers she gave him the key long ago, he returns home to grab it. Overwhelmed by her grief, Ms. Sullivan puts Camden in charge of reading Kayleigh’s journals. Camden quickly discovers a particular journal written for him, which puts him on the ultimate treasure hunt he never knew he needed.
